The A30 is now open.

Snow and ice is causing problems on the roads up county this morning with the A30 Eastbound closed for safety reasons.

Inrix reports that the A30 at Bodmin was closed after a build-up of snow and ice, left lorries unable to travel up the hill.

Devon and Cornwall Police are warning drivers to avoid the area.

Devon and Cornwall Police warned drivers to be careful on the roads because of a hard frost this morning.

Slow traffic due to snow is also reported on the A38 from Launceston Road (Callywith, Bodmin) to A395 (Kennards House, Kennards House).

The A38 is blocked both ways from A390 (Twelvewoods Roundabout, Dobwalls) to B3254 (Liskeard) with slow traffic due to accident caused by ice build up on the road. There are also reports of other vehicles coming off the road.

The roads surrounding the area are now severely congested.

A diversion has been set up with drivers warned to follow the solid square, westbound via the A390 towards Lostwithiel onto the B3269 towards Bodmin. Eastbound is the same but in reverse.
