Flanagans 'B' had a bye enabling Star Penzance 'B' to close the gap to seven points after a 9-3 win at the Trevelyan 'B' in Division Three. Astro 'B' moved up to third despite being held to a draw with the White Lion 'B'. RAOB 'C' moved up two places to fourth after defeating the Angarrack Inn eight-four, Angarrack now drop down to fifth. Points leader R Jennings threw seven tons for the Old Inn who also drop a place despite winning seven-five against Astro Legionaires and their colleagues Astro Arrows moved off the bottom after a seven-five victory at the Station House. ? The Astro Park will be holding singles knockouts on Friday evenings, starting tomorrow with an 8pm start, they will continue until the winter season commences. Entry will be £3, with prize money from the semi-finals upwards. ? Congratulations to Brian Jones who plays for The Astro Park in the Men's Southern County Premier Division for his victory in the recent Inter County Gold Cup Championship. Brian had some fine wins against Cornwall A's Matt Knowles and Sean Johns before defeating team-mate Danny May three-one in the final. Brian will now go on to play at The Lakeside Country Club against all the other county champions on July 11. If successful there he will gain entry for the televised BDO World Championships at the end of the year. Brian who also plays for RAOB A in the West Penwith League in the winter season has appeared on television before playing on the darts quiz Bullseye when Jim Bowen was hosting it.
