The shocked owner of the pony discovered the restraint attached around its back leg on Tuesday morning.

Around 40 people are set to lose their jobs in Hayle following the news that one of the town's supermarkets is to close its doors.

Emergency services were scrambled to Hayle town centre this afternoon after a man in his early 30s was stabbed.
