Two men have been arrested by counter-terror police in Greater Manchester in connection with Monday's attack, bringing the number in UK custody to eight.The eight men are in custody following raids across Manchester, Wigan, Nuneaton and Warwickshire, following the attack by Mancunian suicide bomber Salman Abedi on Monday night.The attack at the end of a concert by US pop star Ariana Grande at the Manchester Arena left 22 people dead and 64 injured.Read next: Manchester terror attack - Newquay...

Man arrested in Launceston on suspicion of aggressive cold...
A man has been arrested on suspicion of aggressive cold calling in Launceston.
He is believed to have been attending properties in the town on Thursday morning (May 24) without the necessary permits.

Bodmin care home manager speaks after vandals smash old stone...
Staff at a Bodmin care home were left shocked after vandals entered the property and broke two stone lions that have been on the site for years.The damage was noticed in the early hours of Sunday (May 21) when employees arrived at St Petroc's Care Home for their early shift. Not many people would plunge their iPhone into water - but one photographer decided this opportunity was too good to miss.
Conrad Lees, a snapper based in Ilfracombe, took the risk in order to capture a close-up video of a shark in a rockpool.
Conrad had been
taking pictures by the sea in Westward Ho! when he noticed a fin poking out of the water.

Liskeard man Adrian Richard Jewell sent to prison after series of...
A Liskeard man has been sent to prison for a series of sexual offences over a nine-year period.
The 19-year sentence of Adrian Richard Jewell, of Joan Moffat Close, at Exeter Crown Court, for five rapes, two sexual assaults and voyeurism, has been welcomed by Devon and Cornwall Police detectives.
"I hope this sentence allows the three victims to finally move forward with their lives," said detective constable Nick Rowell.

Police make arrest in Marazion after reports of a man with a...
Devon and Cornwall police were scrambled to west Cornwall following reports of a man with a knife - they later made an arrest.
Emergency services were alerted just before lunch time, with many residents startled by the commotion.
"Police were called around 11.45am to North Street, Marazion, following reports of a man with a knife," said a force spokesman.
"Officers attended and a man was detained at the scene. A man has been arrested on suspicion of affray."

Investigations into the death of a man in Falmouth are being carried out by police.

Reports last night said he was "slashing himself" with a knife in Falmouth.

A 16-year-old from St Austell has been heavily criticised after posting insensitive 'jokes' on Facebook in the wake of the terror attack which killed 22 people in Manchester.
Suicide bomber Salman Abedi also left 119 people injured at the end of a concert by US pop star Ariana Grande when he let off an improvised explosive device in the lobby of the city arena.

An amazing video taken from St Agnes Head on Cornwall's north coast has captured the rare sight of what is believed to be a whirling waterspout, spiralling down from the clouds to the sea.
The striking phenomena was spotted by avid wildlife watcher Ian Boreham from Newquay who was out enjoying a walk along the cliff tops when he saw the tornado looking formation heading towards the coast.

Manchester terror attack - Newquay teen who went to concert says...
A Newquay teenager has described the moment she and her father found themselves caught up in the Manchester terror attack.
Roni Elliott, 15, and her father Jamie were leaving the Manchester Arena on Monday night when Mancunian Salman Abedi detonated a homemade bomb in the foyer following a concert by American singer Ariana Grande.
Roni has been left shaken by the incident and described how it has changed her life.

Police and scenes of crime officers have mounted an investigation at St Ives.
Uniformed officers and personnel in white suits with blue gloves are at the scene at Nancledra, on the road to Penzance. Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service is also said to be there.
It is understood the operation relates to a silver car which has been covered in a tarpaulin and that police have been there for a couple of hours. The scene is in a car park near old mining buildings near the Engine Inn.

Reports last night said he was "slashing himself" with a knife in Falmouth.
The police have just issued a statement after the incident was referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

Marazion man Dean Lowe remanded in custody after being charged...
A man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with the murder of a missing 32-year-old woman from Marazion.
Dean Nigel Lowe, 32, of St Elmo, Marazion, is accused of murdering Kirsty Noden, also known as Kirby, who has not been seen since January this year.
Ms Noden, who was living in Marazion, was originally treated as a high-risk missing person after friends and relatives raised concerns for her welfare on Thursday, May 18.
