HAYLE'S SOUTH QUAY LOWER PROMENADE IS NOW FULLY OPEN.
The parts of the quay near ASDA that were fenced off until Health and Safety issues about lighting on the quay could be resolved are now open and you can walk all the way around, day and night.
Hayle Harbourmaster, Peter Haddock confirms that all the necessary lights have now been fitted and are working correctly, and leisure boats will start to be returned to some moorings along the quayside, and reminds people that it is a working harbour where bye-laws exist and common sense must be exercised!
The access to "Footpath 16" around Carnsew Basin, and down to the weir is still not officially open as works continue on the sluice tunnels and there are no handrails to the bridge yet.
Gill Baron Any idea when the footpath will be opened so we can access the estuary?
